Seriously disappointed with thread's actual contents tbh.
Halfway there :(
...wait was he ratting in a carrier?
Looks like it, and good Gods... That fit...oh man, that's offensive.
As far as carrier ratting goes, lose the attitude, they do fine with it. I rat, do cosmic anomalies/plexes, and tank for mining ops in my Chimera. Its a ship, it kills things, its a matter of doing it intelligently that makes the difference. Its no different than running missions in billion plus ISK battleships that have no chance of survival in an ambush. In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.

most of those billion isk battleships don't do it in 0.0 :D (although there's some, yes, I know...).
Ratting with a carrier is slower than ratting in a BS. I don't see the need for it but whatever floats your boat.
Its the Drone Regions. Either a carrier, or a BS and a Hauler alt. No way to make money fast when you absolutely have to stop and bring them in. Besides, they've got so many cyno generators online, escaping a hostile roaming gang is easier in the carrier. In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.

A... cyno-making, cap boosted, 10mn after burnered, warp core stabbed nid?
I don't think anyone can top that :)
It lacks the emorage element of the Honour Tanked dreadnought, otherwise, its pretty good. In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.

I have actually lost an honour tanked dread about 7 hours after first recieving it tho this was trying to move to 0.0 area i was living at the time over 14 jumps solo (expanded out for all the fuel) plus iirc there was no stations only option in jump planner but yea i still suck.
I feel your pain. My second carrier died on a logistics op. Full rack of cargo expanders in the lows carrying a crapload of POS fuel for an alliance mate. It was 2am and I undocked right into a station camp from a station that had a really pathetic 0m radius. When you appeared in space, you were 1300m out.
That kind of thing happens, part of life in logistics. Its not "honor tanking" though, its not like we went looking for a fight in a cargo rigged capital. In the event of an emergency, my ego may be used as a floatation device.
